I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance to alter the titles of Prison Officers employed in this Colony," and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
The object of this Ordinance is to amend the present designations of the existing Officers of the Gaol so as to make their titles correspond as nearly as possible with those in use in English prisons.
